Our Story
Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, FinetachNutriAgritek recognized a dual challenge facing East Africa: the environmental degradation of our waterways by invasive duckweed (covering over 5,000 hectares in the Nairobi River), and the crippling cost of protein for animal feed.
Our solution was F-DUPA Concentrate—a high-protein feed ingredient derived from harvested duckweed and silkworm pupa. Duckweed is a fast-growing plant (24–72 hour cycle) that naturally absorbs nitrogen, phosphorus, and heavy metals from wastewater. While raw duckweed has a crude protein content of 20–25%, our processed F-DUPA Concentrate boasts 49–52% crude protein.
By processing these materials, we provide smallholder farmers with a cost-effective alternative to soybean that has a lower carbon footprint. Suitable for poultry, fish, rabbits, and cattle, F-DUPA reduces the raw material cost for feed formulation by 25–30% while cleaning the Nairobi and Athi Rivers.

- Establish commercial duckweed production systems and commercialize F-DUPA concentrate as affordable animal feed for smallholder livestock farmers in Kenya
